StardewValleyMods.org is a growing hub dedicated to all things related to Stardew Valley mods, guides, news, and community creations. We’re looking for passionate writers, modders, and players to share their expertise, enthusiasm, and insights with our engaged audience.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome a variety of content types, all focused on the wonderful world of Stardew Valley modding and gameplay. Your article should provide genuine value, be well-researched, and be written in an engaging, clear tone.
Here are a few topics we’re especially interested in:
- Mod Reviews & Showcases: Detailed reviews of popular, emerging, or niche mods (e.g., content packs, QoL, aesthetic mods). Tell us why a mod is a must-have!
- Installation & Troubleshooting Guides: Clear, step-by-step tutorials for installing specific complex mods or solving common modding issues (SMAPI, Content Patcher, etc.).
- Themed Mod Lists: Curated lists for specific playstyles (e.g., “Top 5 Mods for a Complete Overhaul,” “Mods to Make Your Farm Beautiful,” “Essential Quality of Life Mods”).
- Modding Deep Dives: Exploring the technical side of modding, interviews with mod creators, or guides on using modding tools.
- News & Updates: Coverage of major mod updates, new releases, or news from the official Stardew Valley development team that impacts the modding community.
Submission Guidelines
Before submitting, please ensure your article meets these requirements:
- Originality: The article must be 100% original content that has not been published elsewhere (including your personal blog or social media).
- Length: Articles should be a minimum of 800 words. We prioritize quality and depth over word count, but longer, comprehensive guides are always welcome.
- Tone & Style: Maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and informative tone. Content should be easily scannable with subheadings, bullet points, and bold text.
- Formatting: Please submit your article in a simple document format (Google Doc preferred). Include any relevant screenshots (high-quality, non-watermarked) as separate attachments or within the document.
- Attribution: You must provide links to all discussed mods and any external sources/references used.
- Self-Promotion: You may include a brief Author Bio (2-3 sentences) with one link back to your personal website, social media, or Twitch/YouTube channel.

- Subject Line: “Write For Us Submission: [Your Proposed Article Title]”
- In the Body:
- A brief introduction about yourself and your experience with Stardew Valley and/or modding.
- A brief outline or synopsis of your proposed article.
- Links to 1-2 examples of your previous writing (if available).
- Attachment: If you have a completed draft, please attach it as a Google Doc or Word document.
